The Land Management department of The KKAC Organization educates current and future generations of HU landowners—both urban and rural, resident and absentee—about the importance of retaining ownership of their land in order to prevent land loss.

There are over 120 different NRCS programs that assist farmers and landowners with developing and maintaining land as an asset.
What exactly does the USDA, and other government programs do for landowners?
If chosen, applicants to these programs receive significant funds to improve structural aspects of their land, thereby increasing profits, building greater wealth in a shorter time, and retaining the improved value of the land.
What kind of benefits does KKAC provide to land management participants?
KKAC provides training and education on the main wealth-building programs available from the USDA and other similar entities.

How to Clear Heirs' Property Issues

Go to the circuit clerk’s office to receive the last recorded deed; last official owner

Start building a family tree and building relationships with your family -- try to come to some agreement; if you’re unable to, you may lose it all

When did Sowing Seeds Begin?
Sowing seeds is currently in its second year of operation
Who are some of the Sowing Seeds community partners?
Partners include the greenway equipment, company in Helena, AR, The University of Arkansas Lon Mann Cotton Research Nation, and so on and so forth - farms you visit, etc.
When does Sowing Seeds start?
Sowing Seeds run concurrent with the school calendar, starting in August and ending in May/June.
What kind of information will students be learning in the program?
Students will gain a basic understanding of agriculture and farming as well as receive hands-on training in agribusiness, agri production, farm technology, horticulture, soil science, and much more.
What kind of careers are available in the agriculture industry
There are hundred of possible career paths, including engineer, lawyer, economist, and scientist, at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
What is the monthly time commitment each participant should expect?
Every student will be asked to commit to two (2) Wednesdays per month for virtual meetings and one (1) Saturday per month for in-person experiential learning. Each Wednesday meeting will last for one (1) hour, and each Saturday meeting will last for eight (8) hours.
Is there an cost to particapate in Sowing Seeds?
The program is offered free of cost to all participants. Each student will receive a stipend to cover transportation cost associated with participation.
How many students have participated in sowing seeds?
A total of 44 students from the Arkansas Delta have been served by the program.

The application period is currently open and can contact our office.
Are there any benefits for participants after the program ends?
Program graduates may be eligible from future paid internship opportunities with program partners.
